1. Google
My feeling is that everyone should recieve training in Google before being allowed to access the internet. If you have a question 9 times out of 10 Google an the answer. So before you ask me, Google it.

2. Slashdot
Slashdot is news for nerds. However, I strongly recommend it to anyone. It beats CNN hands down. It is biased as is any news source, yet it is an entertaining bias. After all how many news agencies lean toward the nerd.

3. Sourceforge
Sourceforge is a hub for the Open Source community. It is proof that some pretty cool things can be developed by volunteers.

I have accepted a job offer with NI. It is one cool company and they have treated me very well.

5. SketchUp
Google is up to it again with this fabulous 3D modeling program. You can create models that can be used in Google Earth. It is definitely work messing with. Unfortunately they have not yet released a Mac version but have promised one is coming.

7. Wikipedia
An Open Source Encyclopedia. It is probably the most complete encyclopedia in the world. It is not perfect but is on par with other major encyclopedias. I refer to Wikipedia on a regular basis to better understand the world around me.

If crazy home inventors exist, this guy is one. I aspire to his greatness. He runs his pool clorination via his computer, has his own carbonation machine, and documents everything in exquisite detail. I have enjoyed reading this page.
