George Evan Stoddard, son of Elma Marie Skelton, daughter of Ethel Christiana Stevens, daughter of Redick Elisher Stevens, son of Lucy Adeline Allred (Adeline)
Lucy Adeline Allred (Adeline) was born December 29, 1845, in Nauvoo, Illinois, the daughter of
Redick Newton Allred and
Lucy Hoyt. She was just three years old when her family crossed the plains with the Allen Taylor Company, after her father's return from serving in the Mormon Battalion, arriving in Salt Lake City in October 1849. "Adeline had red hair, blue eyes and was a beautiful singer." She was 15 years old when she married
Henry Barnabas Stevens in Spring City, Utah, on February 14, 1861. They had three children. Adeline died April 25, 1866, in Shoensburg, Kane County.
